    • The State Tretyakov Gallery is a major museum housing a collection of Russian art which traces the development of the Russian culture from the 11th to the early 20th century.

    • The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts houses a collection of classical art, the West European art from the Middle Ages through the mid-20th century. It has the largest collection of French impressionists in Russia.
