Student conference “10th BRICS Summit: results and conclusions”
The event took place 11 October 2018 at RSUH. The main topic of discussion was the 10th BRICS Summit that had been held in Capetown, South Africa, on July 25, 2018.
The student body participating in the Conference came from RSUH, MSU, MGIMO, MGOU, MSLU, Kazan Federal University and HSU.
The list of participants also included officials from Brazilian, Indian, Chinese and South African embassies.
In her welcoming speech Vice-Rector Zabotkina stressed the importance of strengthening and expanding the ties between RSUH and BRICS universities and the representatives of the embassies stressed this point too in their speeches.
The Conference comprised the following sections:
1. “Sino-African partnership”, “BRICS and Africa”, “Healthcare in BRICS countries”
2. “BRICS countries and national identity”, “Cultural traditions in BRICS countries”, “Democratization in Africa”
3. “History”, “Economy and finances”, “Stages of development for BRICS countries”, “BRICS and the Near East”, “Peace and security”
Concurrently with the Conference, the students of the Art-Design Center of RSUH exhibited their works on the topic of friendship between countries, dedicated to BRICS countries.
The participants were also invited to watch a documentary film about Gandhi.
The Conference was organized by RSUH jointly with MSU and in partnership with the Nehru Canter, AMRIT Center, Hindustani Samadj organization, DISHA society and ARIA Ayurvedic Association.
