International conference “Cultural and historical approach: from Vygotsky to the 21st century”
The event was held 14-16 November 2017 in the Vygotsky Institute of RSUH.
In the opening speech Dr. Martsinkovskaya, Head of the Institute, read a congratulatory letter from Dr. Zinchenko, Head of the School of Psychology of MSU.
Plenary session was attended by representatives from the School of Psychology of MSU and Department of Psychology of HSU. Their presentations touched upon new tendencies in cultural and historical psychology.
Dr Falikman, of the HSU, spoke on cultural and historical constructivism.
Dr. Poddyakov, of the HSU, spoke on conflict of values in education.
Dr. Sokolova, of MSU, spoke on identity structure deviations in mentally ill people.
Dr. Belinskaya, of MSU, spoke on the issue of classification of modern approaches to identity.
Dr. Nechaev, member of the RAS, presented an original approach to analysis of the two leading theories in Russian psychology.
The topics of thematic sections included:
Solving the 21st century problems within the framewok of cultural and historical psychology;
Challenges to identity issues;
Social psychology in transitive society;
Clinical psychology in the 21st century;
Inclusive and special education;
Methodology and innovation in education;
Signs and symbols in various systems;
Dr. Grishina, Dr. Karabanova, Dr. Tikhomandritskaya, Dr. Orestova, Dr. Skripkina, Dr. Shneider, Dr. Guseltseva and Dr. Khoroshilova spoke on the subject of social transition.
Dr. Zhdan and Dr. Shabelnikova spoke on the subject of combination of classical and modern concepts.
Dr. Pechnikova, Dr. Balashova, Dr. Shevelenkova and Dr. Mishina spoke on the subject of clinical and special psychology.
Dr. Titov, Dr. Mishina, Dr. Rezvantseva and Dr. Sapogova et al., spoke on the subject of the new understanding of individuality.
