International conference “Russian language, literature and history of Russia in cross-cultural field”
The event took place 5-6 October at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences, organized by RSUH with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science within the framework of the “Russian Language” program.
The conference was opened by Ms. Kosinchikova, Councilor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, who delivered a letter from Mr. Volynkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RF in the Republic of Armenia.
The opening lecture (“Modern Russian literature: tendencies and innovations”) was delivered by Dr. Shunikov, Head of the Institute of Extended Education of RSUH.
Dr. Domansky, Professor of the Dept of Theoretical and Historical Poetics of RSUH, held a master class on analysis and interpretation of Russian rock culture.
Dr. Krongauz, Chair of the Dept of Russian Language, spoke on new language tendencies and trends.
Dr. Isaev, Professor of the Dept of Russian language, spoke on Russian dialects and the relation of dialect studies with language history and culture.
Dr. Tatkalo, Professor of the Dept of Pedagogy and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology at the Brusov University, spoke on the position and role of the Russian language in the education system of Armenia.
Dr. Sarkisyan, Vice-Dean of the School of Russian and Foreign languages at the Brusov University, spoke on the stimulation of interest to Russian language.
Dr. Avakova, Professor of the Dept of Russian and Slavic Linguistics spoke on the use of the National Corpus of Russian language while teaching Russian in Armenian universities.
The conference concluded with a round table on the current state of the Russian language.
