On September 4, 2018, in the framework of the Days of Culture of Islamic Republic Iran in the Russian Federation Acting Rector of RSUH Prof. Dr. Alexander B. Bezborodov held a meeting with the Professor of Tehran University, Mr. Mahdi Mohegam, accompanied by the cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, Mr. Syed Ali Mousavizadeh and the Head of the International Foundation for Iranian Studies, Mr. Qurbanali Idrisov.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for international Cooperation Prof. Dr. Vera I. Zabotkina, the Executive Secretary of the Group for Cooperation between Russia and Iran, Mr. Oleg V. Akylinichev, the Head of the Department of Modern East of RSUH and the Chairman of the Society of Young Iranian Mr. Nikita A. Filin, the Head of Department of International Relations Mr. Ivan. I. Eliseev, and the Deputy Head of Department of International Relations Ms. Olga V. Samogorodskaia.
At the beginning of the meeting Dr. Bezborodov noted that the cooperation with Iranian universities is one of the priority directions of the development of international activity in RSUH and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Mohageg with a lecture on "Iranian literature and philosophy." Dr. Bezborodov also thanked the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for participation in the event and expressed his hopes to expand the partnership between the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Iranian universities.
In return, Mr. Mohageg thanked Dr. Bezborodov for the opportunity to give a lecture to teachers and students of RSUH and also expressed the wish to publish the translations of works on the philosophy of Avicenna and Islamic philosophy together with RSUH, which later could be used by the students of RSUH.
